Here we are at the end of May. My freshman year is over and done with and I'm embarking on a fresh, new summer.
For anyone who's wondering, school went quite well. I ended up with some great grades and fond memories to cherish, even though many of the friends those memories were with live half way around the world in Japan. Sometimes I think I have more friends there than I do here in America! But then I remember that I've lived here all my life, so that's bascially impossible.
Anyway, the first events of the summer consisted of me heading up to FHS a couple of times to visit old friends (even though the class I visited I'd grown to highly dislike), as well as helping out with a group of Japanese students being hosted at Fairview for a week, and seeing my sister graduate. Tonight, I pick up Natsuko, a student for Tokyo Jitsugyo High School, and she stays at my house for the weekend, and then I head up into the mountains with five other students from Tojitsu for a four-day camping trip. Then, it's time to say goodbye to them all as they head back to Tokyo. Too bad I won't be on that flight!
So, there you have it: an update.
